The 2nd of 4 preview will feature the Men's Open teams.
Pool A features Cal who was the Open finalist last year, falling to eventual champion San Diego State after "Kicks from the Mark". Joining Cal will be Penn, who played in last year's Open tourney, Oklahoma and Colorado Mesa.
Pool B has defending champion San Diego State, UConn who played in last year's Open tourney, Washington University-St. Louis, who played in the Championship semifinal last year, and SUNY-Cortland who played in last year's Open tourney.
Pool C contains USC who reached the Championship Round of 16, Boston College who we last saw in the 2010 Open tourney, Utah Valley, and Texas "B" who played in last year's Open tourney.
Pool D has Iowa State who reached the Open quarterfinals last year, Miami (FL) who played in last year's Open tourney, Villanova who also played in the Open tourney last year and Northern Arizona.
Pool E features James Madison who reached the Open semifinals last year, Arkansas who played in last year's Open tourney, Wisconsin-Milwaukee who we last saw as the 2009 consolation winner and Cal Poly "B" who we last saw in the 2011 Open quarterfinals.
Pool F contains Texas Tech who played in last year's Open tourney, Kansas who also played in last year's Open tourney, Cal State Fullerton who also played last year in Open and Colorado "Black" who...you guessed it...also played in last year's open tournament.
Unlike the women's tournament, the men have both finalists from last year San Diego State and Cal. Will they meet again? If I knew I'd be in Vegas not Phoenix :)
Men's Open play will begin on Thursday at 8am with San Diego State opening their defense of the Open crown vs. SUNY-Cortland.
